College Hall Restoration and Renovation / University of Southern Mississippi / Hattiesburg, MS - Restoration and renovation of the three-story College Hall originally built in 1912. The building serves the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and also houses the school newspaper operations. The scope of work included replacing all windows, doors, ceilings, porches and columns. A new HVAC system was installed as well as updated toilets for ADA compliance. The updated facility includes a television studio, radio station and a recording studio to accommodate the communication program. The building’s energy efficiency and sustainability were also improved while being careful to respect the historic character of the building.
